The Grammys are undeniably the most important night in music. With stars from every part of the entertainment industry in attendance, it’s sure to deliver in all areas: drama, emotion, iconic moments, and unforgettable looks. These are my favourite and least favourite looks of the night.

Charli XCX:

The BRAT herself showed up in a Jean Paul Gaultier grey corset ruffle dress. She matched her black curls with knee-high, open-toed, black boots with cutouts, perfectly matching the rebellious vibe of her nominated album and the classy dress code of the event.

 Chappell Roan:

This year’s best new artist and Midwestern Princess also wore a Jean Paul Gaultier dress from his 2003 Spring/Summer collection. This high-low, yellow-and-white tulle dress beautifully suits Roan’s slightly messy and campy style. It was paired with black-and-yellow cowboy boots, bringing in her country roots, and finished with a feather headpiece and lace gloves.

Madison Beer:

Best dance-pop recording nominated and “Make You Mine” singer, Madison Beer, owned the carpet with a Miss Sohee sheer dress. This beautiful dress suited Beer wonderfully with its long train, detailed hem, corset top, and embroidery. It was all just chef’s kiss.

Benson Boone:

While doing his signature flips during a performance of “Beautiful Things,” Benson Boone wore a light blue sparkly jumpsuit by Monty Jackson. His stylist was revealed after Nikki Glazer & Heidi Klum assisted in a tear-away-tuxedo quick change. In his classic style, it has a slight country feel and a 50s/Elvis-influenced vibe.

Bianca Censori & Kanye West:

Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori showed up to the red carpet in a large black fur coat. West has been known for his controversial opinions and recent “Twitter Meltdowns” that have been incredibly hateful and rude. After being told something by West, Censori took off her coat, revealing a clear dress covering nothing. What’s worse is the paparazzi continued taking photos of this clear publicity stunt.

Sabrina Carpenter:

That’s two-time Grammy Award winner Sabrina Carpenter to you! She wore a backless, light blue satin gown with feather details by Jonathan Anderson. Adorned with a pearl necklace, referencing a look from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, she rocked short, curly hair for this look, balancing out the beautiful detailing around the neck.
